QR Maker lets you generate a custom QR code completely free — with no tracking, no expiry, no account, no sign-up, and no watermark. Type a URL, pick your colors, and download a clean PNG. Unlike many online QR services that route every scan through their servers, it encodes your link directly — there's no redirect and no tracking pixel, so your code keeps working forever and your scans stay private.
Static QR codes vs tracking redirects
- Static QR code
- A QR code with the destination URL encoded directly in the black-and-white pattern. Scanning it goes straight to your link. It cannot be edited after printing, and it cannot expire. This is what QR Maker produces.
- Dynamic QR code (tracking redirect)
- A QR code that encodes a short link on the provider’s server, which then redirects to your real URL. That lets the provider change the destination later — and count every scan. If the provider shuts the link down or your plan ends, every code you already printed stops working.
- Tracking pixel
- Anything that reports a scan back to a third party. QR Maker has none: there is no redirect hop, so no server sees your scans.
- Error correction
- Redundant data inside the pattern that lets a code still scan when part of it is smudged, torn or covered. It is why a QR code survives being printed on a menu.
How it works
- Type or paste the destination URL. If you leave the scheme off,
https://is added for you. - Pick one of the ten colours for the pattern, and optionally add up to twenty characters of centre text.
- Press Generate QR Code. The code is drawn on a 256 × 256 canvas in the page, at the highest error-correction level.
- Press Download PNG. The file saves as
qr_<domain>.pngwith your URL encoded straight into the pattern — no redirect in the middle, so nothing counts the scans.
